Wings Over Washington - a special Wings of Warmth flight

Special Thanks to Mr. Robert Jon Buck of the Maryland Aviation Administration; Mr. Tim Tutt of the Briggs Memorial Church; Mr. Augustus Melton, Mr. Christopher Browne and Mr. Tom Olson of Washington National Airport Operations; Mr. Bob Jones, Mr. Tom Vonasek and Mr. Bert Simpson with Washington Airport Tower; Mr. Wayne Pannell and Mr. Brian Burns of Signature Aviation; Ms Teresa Arias and the College Park Airport staff for their generous support in setting up this labor intensive but enlightening event, and to John Croft, Laura Milam and the members of AeroClub Goddard and their fellow pilots. Next year - Hagerstown!

[lined up for departure]Jon Buck dispatched the aircraft in groups of 10, with a 3 minute interval between aircraft. Pilots participating were Paul Windsor (2 missions), Don Black, Bruce, Laura, and Joshua Milam (2 missions - lead aircraft in this photo), Tom Paradis (NGFC 293 & my photo pilot), Jim Metzger, Fernando Montenegro (Cardinal in photo), John Croft & Sharon Cooper (2 missions), David Yuravlivrer, Hank Griffioen (flew Channel 8 newscrew), Doug Ilg & Warren Tolson, Ray Suziedelis (2 missions/flew WingSpan TV crew), Tom Olson, Ryan Heuston & Graeme Long, Brian McNamee (2 missions), Mike Strieter, Byron Hanna (flew P.G. Sentinal reporter), Martha Ainsworth (photo pilot for Sue Hallenbeck) and Dennis Brennan.

Participating clubs and organizations included the Congressional, World Bank, Quantico, and Freestate flying clubs, Washington International Aviation, Control Aero of Frederick, the Civil Air Patrol, and the Potomac Antique Aero Squadron.
